About Us

Who We Are

We are a locally led and indigenous organization that works to ensure women and girls can self-determine their reproductive health, manage their fertility and realize their full potential. Our core mandate is centered on creating an enabling environment for safe reproductive choices.

We are unapologetic in creating a safe environment for sexual reproductive health and bodily autonomy in Nigeria. Over 2 decades, we have worked to support women and girls’ access to quality safe abortion care, and contraception services.

Lucky Palmer Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation, we drive our work within the principles of gender and human rights to ensure women and girls and marginalized persons can self-determine their reproductive health and achieve bodily autonomy. Our approaches underpin multifaceted collaborations with various stakeholders to create an enabling environment for women to realize their full potential and thrive.

Our Vision

A world where all people have the right and ability to determine their own sexuality and reproductive health.

Our Mission

To radically transform how ecosystems in Nigeria advance and protect women and girls of all abilities and backgrounds to act on their abortion and contraceptive needs and protect against gender-based violence.

Our Approach

We understand that it is difficult for women and girls to self-determine their reproductive health, particularly in marginalized settings. We are always collaborating with multiple stakeholders to build a sustainable environment that clears the pathways to sexual reproductive health and rights by:

  • Advocating for policy and legal frameworks
  • Building self-efficacy for women and driving community support
  • Strengthening healthcare systems
